Almost every sims players are going gaga about custom contents and mods, so if you are new to the franchise and just decided to explore adding custom features to your game well you did a good decision cause there are so many good mods and CCs awaiting you and most of them are free!
In this tutorial, I'll teach you how to install CC and mods, explain what they are so let's get started!

What are Modifications /Mods
Mods as the name says modifications are modification to the program of your game to improve your gameplay. It can be an additional feature, it could  remove an existing feature in the game that most likely annoy players or it could fix some bugs in the game. Example of an additional feature is a mod that allow you to send your teen sims to a new social event which is the prom where you can be a prom queen and get reward after if you are able to accomplish several task during the prom; On the  other hand an example of a mod that removes an existing feature is a mod that removes the zzZ animation while sleeping. Most simmers didn't like that is why this mod is created in the first place. No offense to the game developers, I love them so much for creating such a wonderful game. I'm just explaining how mods work. :)

What is Custom Content/CC?
Custom Content is pretty much an object you add to beautify your game which not created by EA but by other simmers like you. There are heaps of them out there from clothing, objects furnitures, textures and so many more. CCs are not bounded by any system requirements unlike maxis' stuff does  so CCs has better details and textures most especially for custom skins and hair ugh! they look so wonderful. This means that you can have more options more than the game can offer if you have CCs installed.

PS. This sims is perfect for the serial killer mod. What I did is created this sim and enable the feature "Kill Autonomously  in Serial Killer Mod and put him in a random house. Then I go back to the sims that I use to play and there I have it! Serial killer in town that might kill my sims or my neighbors. This will truly add thrill to your gaming :)

DrHawHaw's Uni Skintone

I'm so inlove with this custom skin. A semi realistic skin that has a very gorgeous face details. The body is not that detailed though but still worth the download. (By the way body hair is not included.)

No Awkward Walks Mod

   Do you hate the part of the game wherein your sims walks awkwardly when they are tired, needs to     pee, angry or pregnant. Well we got a solution for that! This mod is by simstopics and the  features     are as follows:

Feature 1: All Walkstyles Disabled. This will make your sims walk normally and not all weird like some of the walkstyles EA has added (creepy, sleepy, angry, etc).

Feature 2: Pee Now Jog. This will change that stupid walk when sims have to pee into the jogging walk style!

Feature 3: Pregnancy Walkstyles Disabled. This will change the bent backwards walk that sims (male and female) do when they are pregnant.

Drunk/Alchohol Mod

So we all know that Sims can drink at a bar, but they can't actually get drunk which is pretty disappointing. Not anymore! Cause Wolfdude created a mod that allows sims to get drunk off those bar drinks!

This mod consist 4 buffs which are "buzzed" which occurs right after the first drink. It's a simple 1+ happy buff which lasts for 45 minutes. Then the "drunk" buff kicks in after the buzzed buff wears off. The buff is a +10 dazed buff which has several effects such as increasing the energy and bladder needs decay and increasing the amount of friendship and romance gained from social interactions. The "wasted" buff is also a 10+ dazed buff which has a chance of occurring if your sim keeps drinking while they have the drunk buff. It's basically the same as the drunk buff but with the affected valued modified to a greater degree. The hungover buff which of course kicks in once the drunk buff wears off is a 10+ uncomfortable buff that lasts for 4 hours and increases energy decay while decreasing the hunger and social decay. Also, sims do have a small chance of not getting hungover and it's also possible to get rid of the hangover by drinking more.
